ALLIGATOR FOOD is finally in print. It's available on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and  other retail outlets. A Kindle version has been released, as well.

The new book is 338 pages in length and includes a map for reference in the front as well as a glossary of nautical terms in the back. The final version of the novel is some 108,000 words in length, down from the original 180,000. My son Casey did all the formatting and design work using InDesign CS-4. ALLIGATOR FOOD has been a seven-year labor of love for us. I hope people give it a chance.

FINGERPRINTS...A Coffeehouse Reader was named as a finalist in the memoir category by the San Diego Book Awards Association for 2010. Even though it wasn't chosen as the winner, simply having my book nominated was an amazing and unexpected honor.

The following review for FINGERPRINTS appeared in the October 2010 issue of Latitudes & Attitudes magazine:

"Much more than just a retelling of the author's extensive cruising adventures, this is a reflection on the intricacies of life; choices, decisions, mistakes made for better or worse. The writing is so beautifully descriptive it transports you straight into the moment with Technicolor and four part harmony. It's a great escape book for a rainy day at anchor..."

The initial printing of FINGERPRINTS was done by Thomson-Shore, Inc., of Dexter, MI, using traditional offset lithography. Copies of the first edition are still available through PayPal on this website. Three Fingered Press will also accept personal checks ($15.95 plus $3.80 shipping and handling. CA residents please add 7.75% sales tax). If you decide to order through direct mail, please send your check payable to Three Fingered Press at the following address:

FINGERPRINTS is also available as a print-on-demand book through Amazon.com  and Barnes & Noble, and is now in digital format for Kindle users at a reduced price of $5.99. The digital version of ALLIGATOR FOOD is listed at $6.99.

Without the enthusiastic support of the following people, neither of my books would be in print: Ron Bogdon of the Buicks  (aka Fender), Kitty Johnson of Georgia (aka MzzzzKitty), George of the Bahamas (aka Thatboatguy), and Jane Newell Goodrich of Myrtle Beach High School, class of '62. I hope FINGERPRINTS and ALLIGATOR FOOD someday warrant all of the encouragement you have given to me.
